Affordable, Accessible, High Quality Healthcare

Tom will fight to make healthcare cheaper, more accessible, and better. Everyone in Michigan, particularly seniors, veterans, children, and working families, deserves to have high quality affordable healthcare.

High Quality Education and Childcare

Michigan’s children are the future. Tom will fight to ensure Michigan teachers and students are treated well and given every opportunity to thrive from pre-K through trade school or college, and beyond.

Michigan families also rely on affordable childcare. Tom will work to ensure that every Michigan family that relies on high quality childcare, can get it and afford it.

Public Safety

Safety in our communities is non-negotiable. Tom has always -and will always- support our first responders and law enforcement officers. Throughout his time as an attorney and prosecutor, Tom has worked hand-in-hand with law enforcement to hold wrongdoers accountable. Tom will insist on a comprehensive approach to public safety, including increasing revenue sharing so communities can hire the police and firefighters they need, incentivizing local police departments to hire more mental health professionals, and expanding community policing programs.

Lowering Costs and Taxes for Working Families

Michigan’s working families have, for far too long, paid more than their fair share. Tom supports easing taxes on seniors and working families, as well as lowering utility costs. At the same time, the Government must be closely watched and audited to ensure that every dollar of tax payer money is used efficiently. Finally, giant corporations and the wealthy must pay their fair share.

Investing in the Future of Michigan’s Economy

Michigan’s economy must be vibrant and growing for Michiganders to thrive. Tom will fight against companies shipping jobs overseas and invest in growing the jobs of tomorrow right here in Michigan.

Small and Michigan-based businesses especially need special recognition and support to ensure they have the chance to grow, succeed, and make life better for Michiganders.

Clean Air, Clean Water, and Protecting our Natural Resources

Michigan is blessed with abundant and priceless natural resources. Every Michigander has a fundamental right to clean air and clean water. Tom will fight to protect our environment and our health. He will also ensure that Michigan's natural resources are protected and used wisely for the benefit of all, guaranteeing access to our lakes and parks for every resident of Michigan’s 57th District.
